Sweeney Todd Illustration - Part 1

Part 1 of what I hope is a 2 part video tutorial.

I was always a great fan of the ‘ol Sweeney Todd musical. When I heard that they were doing a movie on it, after squealing like an 8 year old, I decided that I should do a piece in homage to some good memories that the musical brought me.

This part takes us through the first half of our digital painting process. The sketch was created in pencil. Our painting is done in Adobe Photoshop 7, and is about an hour and ten minutes condensed down into this so that it would fit….. and not bore you to death.

I’ll put up part 2 whenever I get to it… I haven’t painted that half yet…
